Plans & Pricing
How much does WordPress maintenance cost for a business site?
One flat monthly fee per site, with no hourly billing and no surprise invoices. Essentials is $59/mo, Professional is $119/mo, and Enterprise is $229/mo. Pay annually and you save 20%. Every plan covers the same core: backups, security, updates and monitoring.
What’s included in every plan?
Every plan, including Essentials, includes off-site WordPress backups, proactive maintenance and core/plugin/theme updates, performance tuning, a firewall that blocks malicious requests, brute-force login protection, and full malware scanning and removal. There is no stripped-back tier that leaves your site exposed.
Is there a cheaper bare-bones tier?
No. The lowest plan, Essentials, is already a complete care plan. I’d rather keep every site properly protected than sell a cheaper option that skips backups or security.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Paying for a year up front takes 20% off the monthly rate. You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any renewal.
Which plan is right for my site?
If your site is largely static and just needs to stay updated, secure and fast, Essentials is the fit. If you need me making regular content edits, fixing bugs, configuring plugins or supporting WooCommerce, choose Professional. If you want me publishing new pages and posts, reworking layouts, or supporting an LMS or multisite network, that’s Enterprise. Not sure? Book a 20-minute call and I’ll tell you exactly which one your site needs.
Do you support WooCommerce, membership and LMS sites?
Yes. WooCommerce support is included from the Professional plan up. LMS platforms like LearnDash and WordPress multisite networks are supported on Enterprise. These sites need more attention to stay fast and stable, so they sit on the plans that give them that attention.
Getting Started & Onboarding
How does onboarding work?
After you sign up, you get a welcome email explaining how to securely send me your WP admin and hosting/FTP logins. Once I have those, I log in, connect your site to my maintenance system, run a manual test of the backup process, and clear any pending updates. I take the time to tune everything to your specific theme and plugins so nothing breaks and there’s no downtime.
How long does onboarding take?
Your plan is fully implemented within 24-48 hours of me receiving your credentials. Most sites are done inside 24 hours.
What does the first 30 days look like?
Week one is onboarding: backups verified, updates cleared, security hardened, performance baseline captured. After that it settles into the normal rhythm of proactive updates, monitoring, and any edits or fixes your plan covers. At the end of the month you get a report showing exactly what was done.
Do I have to move my hosting to work with you?
No. I work on whatever host you’re already on. If your hosting is actively causing problems I’ll tell you and suggest options, but switching is always your call, never a requirement.
What if my site is a mess or hasn’t been updated in years?
That’s a common starting point and it’s fine. I’ll take a full backup first, then work through updates carefully on a staging copy where needed, fixing conflicts as they come up. Sites that are badly out of date may need a short catch-up period, which I’ll scope with you before starting.
Support & Communication
How do I contact you when I need help?
Email or WhatsApp. You send requests directly to me, with no ticket queue to fight through and no first-line support to get past. You’re always dealing with the person doing the work.
How fast do you respond?
I reply to requests within one business day, usually much faster. Anything that looks like a site-down or security emergency jumps the queue and I start on it as soon as I see it.
Do you offer 24/7 support? How are emergencies handled?
Monitoring runs 24/7 and alerts me automatically if your site goes down or shows signs of compromise, so problems often get caught before you notice them. I’m a solo operator, not a follow-the-sun support desk, so hands-on work happens during working hours, but genuine emergencies are always prioritised ahead of routine work.
Who actually does the work?
I do. Every update, fix, edit and report is handled by me personally. Nothing is outsourced and nothing is run by an untrained first-line team.
Guarantees
What are the guarantees?
Four: 100% uptime, 100% email delivery, 24/7 monitoring with no lapses, and Core Web Vitals kept in Google’s “Good” range. These are things I actively maintain, not just watch.
What happens if you miss one?
You get a free month. No chasing, no arguing the fine print: if I miss a guarantee, that month is on me.
What happens if something breaks after an update?
I test updates on a staging copy before they touch your live site wherever there’s any risk, so breakage is rare. If something does slip through, I roll back from the latest backup and fix the conflict properly. You’re not left with a broken site over a weekend.
Security & Maintenance
What do you do to keep my site secure?
24/7 monitoring for malware and suspicious activity, regular security patching for core, plugins and themes, daily malware scans, a firewall that blocks malicious requests, brute-force login protection, user-role and password management, and two-factor authentication. If something gets through, malware removal is included.
Are updates included in every plan?
Yes. WordPress core, plugin and theme updates are part of every plan, reviewed for conflicts before they’re applied so an update doesn’t take your site down.
Do you take backups, and where are they stored?
Yes. Backups run daily and are stored off-site, separate from your hosting, so a host-level failure can’t take your backups with it. I manually test the restore process during onboarding so I know it actually works.
Contracts & Billing
Do you lock me into a long-term contract?
No. Plans are month-to-month. There’s no minimum term and no cancellation penalty.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel whenever you like with 30 days’ notice so I can hand everything back cleanly: backups, access notes and documentation. Annual plans can be cancelled too; I refund unused full months.
Do you offer refunds?
If I miss one of the service guarantees, that month is free. For annual billing, I refund the unused full months if you cancel. Beyond that, monthly fees for work already delivered aren’t refunded.
Extra Work & Development
What if I need work beyond what my plan covers?
I scope it and send you a quote before doing anything. Professional and Enterprise subscribers get discounted rates on extra development work. More on development services.
Do you build brand-new websites from scratch?
Full new-site builds, logo and graphic design, content writing and paid-ads management aren’t part of the care plans. If you need a new build, ask me and I’ll either scope it separately or point you to someone who’s a better fit.
Can you migrate my site to a new host or domain?
Yes. Migrations are handled as scoped project work. I move the site on a staging copy, test it thoroughly, and cut over with minimal downtime once you’ve signed off.
WordPress SEO
Is SEO included in the care plans?
The care plans focus on security, maintenance and performance. Technical WordPress SEO is a separate add-on service covering site audits, schema markup, on-page optimization, Core Web Vitals and structured data.
What is WordPress SEO, exactly?
It’s the work of making a WordPress site genuinely search-engine-friendly: clean titles and headings, fast Core Web Vitals, correct schema markup, crawlable structure and high-quality content. The goal is to help search engines understand your site so it can rank better.
How long until I see SEO results?
You see documented progress in the first month, because every change is logged and reported: what was fixed, how many errors and warnings cleared, and how your Ahrefs Health score moved.
How do you use Ahrefs?
Ahrefs is the roadmap. I work from the most critical and impactful issues it flags and keep going until the site health score reaches 100, with a detailed report every month showing what changed.
Do you provide SEO strategy or run ad campaigns?
No. I don’t do SEO strategy, keyword-targeting plans or search-engine marketing. My SEO service is entirely about optimising the WordPress site itself to meet modern search-engine standards.
